Avoid conflicts - 075/100 -

Today I read that book, “How can we stop  conflicts ?” I agree with that statement below. “  Differences in ethnicity, religion, and ideology are not the fundamental ‘causes’ of conflict, but rather the ‘means’ by which conflicts are exploited.” I think that  Catastrophic tragedies occur when actors seeking to achieve their own aims exploit these means and draw in people belonging to those groups. I believe there’s nothing that should be gained at the expense of another’s happiness. How can we stop  conflicts ?

Food and income - 089/100 -

Reading this book made me think about food and income. Tilapia and avocados are being eaten more and more around the world. So, producing them in the country where I will volunteer could be a helpful industry. This could have a good effect by increasing the variety of products and income in the country. Teaching techniques - 094/100 -

Teaching aims to bring about changes in one’s behaviour. Here are some effective techniques: • Divide the content into small steps for easier understanding. • Praise and acknowledge learners for their achievements. • Explain the reasons behind tasks, especially to foreign learners. Using visual aids can be particularly effective. I plan to apply these techniques in my role as a PC instructor for my assignment . Teaching techniques

Dark personality - 095/100 -

I have finished reading the book, What Does It Mean to Have a ‘Bad Personality?’ .  I was particularly interested in the section about ‘grit’, although it is not the main theme of this book. Grit is a personality trait that involves perseverance and determination. It is said that grit has a more positive effect on our achievements than IQ.  Additionally, the book argues that self-esteem is not a precursor to achievement; rather, it is built through accomplishment.  These two insights resonate with me deeply. 100 Days Until My Retirement - 100/100 -

Today marks 100 days until my retirement. I will retire on 30 June. Therefore, I will be writing about my daily life every day from today. I thought that the episode pushed me forward. I want to be true to my passion. -  Smith agrees with Jobs, but believes the advice often falls on deaf ears. "It doesn't matter how many times you download Steven Ji's Stanford commencement address, you still look at it and decide not to do it," Smith told the TED audience. "You're afraid to pursue your passion. You're afraid to look ridiculous. You're afraid to try. You're afraid you may fail." - (Larry Smith -  University of Waterloo economics professor) Gallo, C.
