Avoid conflicts - 075/100 -

Today I read that book, “How can we stop conflicts?” I agree with that statement below.

“ Differences in ethnicity, religion, and ideology are not the fundamental ‘causes’ of conflict, but rather the ‘means’ by which conflicts are exploited.”

I think that Catastrophic tragedies occur when actors seeking to achieve their own aims exploit these means and draw in people belonging to those groups.

I believe there’s nothing that should be gained at the expense of another’s happiness.

How can we stop conflicts?

Today, I built an app that provides me with flashcards. I can use it on Google Chrome on my iPhone. I wrote the code with the help of ChatGPT. I just explained the functionality I wanted, and it generated the code for me. It also guided me on how to use GitHub, Google Cloud, and so on. To be honest, I had no prior experience in coding or web development, but I still managed to build it. I believe this app will help improve my English learning.

I have finished reading the book, What Does It Mean to Have a ‘Bad Personality?’ . I was particularly interested in the section about ‘grit’, although it is not the main theme of this book. Grit is a personality trait that involves perseverance and determination. It is said that grit has a more positive effect on our achievements than IQ. Additionally, the book argues that self-esteem is not a precursor to achievement; rather, it is built through accomplishment. These two insights resonate with me deeply. Reason for applying

I want to find a career for the next 10 years while I'm in my 40s, retire early by 60, and spend the rest of my life enjoying my hobby of traveling. I would like my next career to be one that earns foreign currency (dollars). Japan's national power has been declining recently, and earning yen in Japan is inefficient and risky. However, I need to improve my English skills. My TOEIC score was around 400. In addition, it would be preferable to be self-employed. One of my children has a developmental disorder. Considering his future, leaving a business where we can work together would be a risk hedge. In order to be self-employed overseas, I must improve my English skills above all else.
